Spirit sagged about the room
Head held low because of the gloom
resistant to change; a strange strain
of sadness had possessed her soul
What is that he can do to make her so empty
bitter from the cold loneliness brings
Showers from above bring no comfort
Sorrow has replaced love
And now Spirit lingers in a corner
saddened by the outcome of events
Darkness in this era is no surprise
Courting has been dead for some time
leaving young Spirit to cry
And wonder what the future could bring
Maybe a replacement of things that were once great
And she can smile again and appreciate
What God had in store for her
The liveliness of true and untainted love
now Spirit lies down as if she is dying
She no longer wishes to live and feel the hurt
of being used by the world
Oh such selfishness it doth possess
and now her body begins to decompose
While she is still living
What is this that comes about you poor Spirit
She can not answer, her mouth is sour
Limbs are rotten
Spirit is dying
