Choice

And the forbidden fruit was passed to adam and so began the troublesome times of man. The choice between good and evil, right and wrong, yes or no, was now handed to us. Choice, gift and a curse within itself. Thank you lord for free will, but why must we be forced to decide on something when we really have no idea on what the correct choice may be. In one hand you know what you need to do but on the other you have what you want to do, yet one doesn’t seem worse than the other and both have their advantages and disadvantages, so how do you know which to really choose. Prime example…abortion. Keep my baby and give it a harsh life and put further pressure on myself and my family, or do what’s in my heart and give it’s life a chance instead of making it pay for sins of it’s parents? You see what I mean…so its like what do you do? Decisions, decisions, choices, choices. And the biggest thing is, you don’t wanna get in bad with God, but deep inside you don’t really know what God wants you to really do. Did he give you the child to prove a point or teach you a lesson or did he want the new soul in the world? Life’s tough but its these moments that make it tougher. And I’m still trying to figure out this whole “follow your heart” theory. Yeah it sounds nice but a lot of times when you do “follow your heart” you still end up in a ditch tryin’ to climb out. Then there’s the one “mind over matter.” What does that really mean anyway? So that brings up two very important body parts with deeper metaphoric meanings, the heart and the brain. The O’ so holy heart that supposed to help you figure out and determine everything, then the mighty mind that your supposed to always use before any serious situation. Don’t they always say “Think before you speak, think before you act.” Seems like they always say that after they say follow your heart. So now you have this big mind over heart or heart over mind. One has to be right, but does that make the other wrong. Or is that you use a different one depending on the situation? Who knows. Well in the mean time I’m sitting here trying to figure out what I’m going to do with myself and with my free will and free choice.
